Our Office
Our Spanish-speaking patients and staff have often referred to our facility as “La Casita Azul” (The Little Blue House). Our color scheme changed to light grays in 2006, but we have not lost the warm, casual feeling that we have inside our building. Many medical offices are cold, unfriendly places and we know that our patients feel better—and their studies look better—when they feel comfortable. We do everything that we can to relax our patients and their families, from providing comfortable dressing rooms, to toys for kids to play with, to a large, light, and open-feeling exam room. Renovation
After upgrading and adding modalities, we began a complete renovation of the facility including redesigning patient flow, changing the layout of waiting areas and offices to create a quieter, more private atmosphere for our patients, and top-to-bottom redecorating with upgraded materials and fixtures. Behind the walls, new cooling systems and state-of-the-art networking equipment support our increasingly busy facility. The final stage of the renovation spruced up the exterior to match the modern look and feel of the interior.
Radiology Modalities
MR Scanner
The centerpiece of our facility is the Hitachi AIRIS Elite--the first one operating in the United States--that replaced our Hitachi AIRIS in 2004. The AIRIS Elite almost entirely eliminates the tradeoffs between open and high-field machines by providing superior images and rapid scan times with a wide-open design. Ultrasound System
As part of our upgrade and expansion in 2004 we acquired the HI VISION™ 6500 high resolution digital ultrasound system. It offers advanced clinical imaging, enhanced operating efficiency, and remarkable clinical flexibility, all in a robust and versatile configuration that simply represents a better clinical solution in a variety of real-world, real-work arenas.
CAT Scanner
Our CAT scanner is a workhorse GE High Speed Advantage which is fully integrated with the PACS system. Highlights of its capabilities include the ability to generate multiplanar reconstructions.
X-Ray
Plain film exams are performed on the Eureka Linear ll. With the addition of a Computerized Radiography (CR) system we completed the transition to a completely digital, filmless, paperless imaging center. Of course, for referring physicians who prefer film, we continue to provide film free of charge.
Information Systems
The upgrade of our facility does not end with equipment, building enhancements, and hardware. At the same time, we have implemented information systems that both add to our internal efficiency and enable us to provide better service to patients and referring physicians. Scheduling and billing information are available with a few clicks, even after-hours when necessary. We can provide email and fax confirmations of patient appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling. Billing questions can be answered rapidly and all of the information needed for payer authorizations is retained in our system for faster processing. All images and patient information are backed-up to a secure offsite server.
